Top Ten Symptoms Of A Bad Hair System
 

1. The hair is coarse and turns red within a month.
   • If your hair system does this, it means your hair replacement provider is using an inferior quality of hair and the dye is wearing off.
2. The hair mattes up and tangles easily.
   • If your hair system does this, it means your hair replacement provider is using an inferior quality of hair that has not been properly processed to remove the cuticle from the hair shaft.
3. The foundation doesn't fit flush to your head.
   • This means your hair replacement company hasn't custom made the hair system to fit the mold they took of your head.  Many companies make the mold for show, but their factory can't make the hair system from the mold.
4. The hair system has too much hair.
   • This is an amateur mistake which many hair replacement companies deliberately make because they know the hair system will lose hair quickly. (See #7)
5. The hairline is too dark.

   • This most often occurs with hair replacement companies who make their hair systems in the United States but do not know how to work with polyurethane to create small patch areas where tape and glue will not add stress to the lace.  Beware of patches that are sewn on.  These will rip the lace quickly.
9. The hair in the hairline is not sewn in one strand at a time.
   • Your hair replacement provider isn't employing skilled artisans to create a hairline that looks natural.  They're fudging it, because they either don't know how to do single-strand insertion that will last, or they don't have any control over the quality of their production process.
10. The foundation material is not a lightweight breathable material.
    • A hair system should ONLY be made of a lightweight breathable material.  Covering your head with a heavy material or a polymer plastic will breed bacteria on your scalp and likely cause you to overheat.  Your scalp must breathe in order for your body to adequately expel excess heat and maintain a normal body temperature.
